Remote Control

Allowed commands are status, start/stop recording, pre-recording session name and notes, bookmark, still preview, and graceful disconnect. The iPhone remains authoritative.

Pairing does not automatically enable remote control. The user must enable it and locally approve recording control on first use. Commands are authenticated, bounded, sequenced, visibly reflected on iPhone, and denied when policy is disabled. The iPad cannot delete sessions, mutate finalized manifests, browse unrelated files, change security settings, grant permissions, or enable microphone/location access.

If the connection drops, local recording continues. Reconnect restores telemetry and preview without restarting the recording. A remote stop is an explicit command, not a side effect of disconnect.
