Terms of use

These terms describe use of the Bible Study app and its website, operated by Herb Trevathan. App-store terms and rights that cannot lawfully be waived also apply.

Using the app

You may use the app for lawful personal reading and study, write your own notes, and make personal recordings. Keep a copy of important content. Do not misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, or infringe another person’s rights through content you create or share.

Scripture and your content

The bundled World English Bible and American Standard Version 1901 are public-domain texts. KJV rights differ by territory; the initial intended distribution is the United States. Public-domain Scripture remains public domain. App code, original artwork and branding remain with their respective owners. Your notes and personal recordings remain yours; using the app does not transfer them to the developer.

Sharing and translation rights

Exports happen at your direction. Keep source and translation attribution, and respect applicable rights in your territory. The app does not grant rights to copyrighted translations or professional narration that it does not supply. No NIV, ESV or other unlicensed publisher text is bundled.

Availability and limitations

The app and site are provided as available. We work to improve reliability, but do not promise uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every device, or error-free imports and recordings. Reading collections are aids, not a substitute for reading context. The chronological overview is selected passages, not a complete historical chronology. Synthesized speech is not professional narration.

Responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses from use or inability to use the app. Nothing here excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Features and these terms may change; material changes will be reflected in the dated terms and release information.
