The app: local study data

Bible Study stores notes, tags, bookmarks, highlights, preferences, reading history, plan progress and personal recordings in your device’s app storage. The developer does not receive this content. The app has no accounts, advertising or analytics SDKs, cross-app tracking, or automatic uploads.

Microphone and spoken reading

Microphone permission is requested only when you choose a personal recording. Permission denial does not block Bible reading or text notes. Revoke microphone access in your device’s Settings. Spoken reading uses native system text-to-speech, separate from microphone recording; Android chooses an installed offline English voice.

Sharing and device backups

When you select Share or Export, the destination you choose receives that copy and applies its own policies. System backups may include app data according to your device settings. The app does not provide a complete cross-device backup/restore or cloud synchronization service in this version.

Retention and deletion

App content stays local while installed. In the iOS app, swipe notes and saved recordings in their libraries to delete them. Uninstalling removes the local app container. Exported copies and system backups remain separately controlled by you and the services you selected. Export important content before uninstalling. Contact us for help; we cannot remotely retrieve or erase data that exists only on your device.

This website

This small site uses no analytics scripts, tracking pixels, advertising, cookies or browser-local storage. Our shared-hosting provider may keep standard access and security logs, including IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time. Such logs support delivery and security and are retained according to the hosting provider’s configuration; we have not verified a precise retention period.

Contact requests

Email or telephone contact is optional. If you contact us, your address/number and message are handled by the relevant email/telephone services and used to respond, provide support and maintain necessary business records. Do not send private study notes or recordings unless needed and intentionally chosen. Request deletion of a support message by contacting Herb Trevathan; legal retention obligations and provider backups may limit immediate removal.

Children, updates and questions

The app does not require age or profile information and has no social-posting service. We do not knowingly solicit children’s personal information for marketing.
